About Lucky Cat BBQ

As someone who's explored countless BBQ joints, I can say that Lucky Cat BBQ offers something truly special. Their creative fusion approach transforms familiar BBQ classics with Asian spices and techniques, creating flavor profiles that are both surprising and satisfying.

The Innovative Menu at Lucky Cat BBQ Breaks New Ground

Their menu showcases the perfect marriage of Eastern and Western barbecue traditions. The brisket, while smoked to Texas perfection, features unique Asian-inspired rubs and glazes that create an entirely new barbecue experience. Each bite tells a story of culinary innovation and careful flavor balancing.

Lucky Cat BBQ Crafts Signature Asian-Inspired Sauces

The sauce selection here deserves special mention. From gochujang-infused BBQ sauce to hoisin-based glazes, each condiment is crafted to complement the smoked meats perfectly while adding an authentic Asian twist to traditional barbecue flavors.

The Craft Behind Lucky Cat BBQ Defines Modern Fusion

Operating daily from around 3-7 PM at 2987 N. Las Vegas Blvd, they've mastered the art of timing their smoke sessions to ensure peak flavor and tenderness. The limited hours ensure that every serving is at its absolute best.

Lucky Cat BBQ Creates Memorable Strip Dining Experiences

The atmosphere perfectly matches their innovative concept – modern, energetic, and welcoming. My personal favorites include their Korean-spiced brisket with its perfect smoke ring and tender texture, and their char siu-style pork ribs that combine the best of Chinese BBQ with American smoking techniques. The sides, too, reflect this fusion approach – think kimchi mac and cheese and wasabi-spiked coleslaw.

The food at this place is absolutely amazing! Every type of meat you order is sure to be bursting with flavor, but the brisket is out of this world! It's incredibly juicy and tender, making it the best BBQ I've ever had in Las Vegas, no question about it. Be sure to follow their Instagram for updates on their food truck - you won't regret it!

Recently wrapped up a 5/10 PLO game at Aria, where I convinced my Asian poker buddies to join me for some delicious BBQ brisket and sides. Despite their initial reluctance due to the scorching 108° heat outside, they couldn't resist the temptation of furikake rice and Hawaiian style mac salad. The USDA Prime brisket was perfectly cooked with a dark bark, juicy and flavorful, complemented by a slightly sweet coffee-infused sauce. While we didn't try the pulled pork or jalapeno cheddar sausage, the brisket alone was worth the $23 price tag for two good-sized slices. Overall, a must-try BBQ spot in Vegas, even for a BBQ connoisseur like myself who has tried Franklin's, Snow's, and Black's. Don't miss out on their popup dates and locations - you won't be disappointed!

I recently had the opportunity to try Lucky Cat's BBQ food truck after seeing their updates on Facebook. Lucky Cat happened to be in the neighborhood while I was heading home from DT Las Vegas, so I decided to stop by. Looking over the menu, I was immediately drawn to the banh mi sandwich, which I ordered with brisket. Alongside my sandwich, I also got Hawaiian style macaroni salad and Asian slaw as sides, and finished off with a slice of ube cheesecake for dessert. Everything was neatly packed for me to enjoy at home. The banh mi sandwich was delicious, with a nice kick of spice and flavorful pickled vegetables. The brisket was a perfect choice of meat for the sandwich, and the roll complemented it wonderfully. The Asian slaw was a refreshing addition with its creamy mayo dressing, while the Hawaiian style macaroni salad was a delightful surprise with just the right amount of mayo and a hint of tuna. The ube cheesecake was simply amazing - make sure not to leave without trying one of their cheesecakes! The service at Lucky Cat BBQ was both friendly and efficient. Having known Shawn for a while, it was a pleasure supporting his new venture and enjoying his delicious food. I wish Lucky Cat BBQ all the best, and a special shoutout to Eva for the great experience!

I've been eagerly anticipating trying out this food truck for quite some time now, but unfortunately, my busy schedule hasn't allowed me to catch them when they're in my area. However, when I finally did get to try their food, I was blown away by how amazing it was! The prices are very affordable for the generous portions you receive, and I loved that the plate combo automatically came with jasmine rice and a choice of 2 sides. I opted for the pulled pork and sliced brisket with a side of double Mac, and I can't forget to mention the delicious banana pudding for dessert - it was a hit all around! I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu offerings! The service at this food truck is top-notch. The owners truly care about the quality of the food they serve and are more than willing to offer recommendations if you're unsure of what to order. Despite their rapidly growing popularity, they remain humble and are dedicated to providing a great experience for their customers. While the ambiance may be that of a food truck, it's a clean and well-maintained one - not your typical greasy establishment. I hope that the local community continues to support this business so they can eventually open a brick and mortar location for us to enjoy!

I was lucky to come across Lucky Cat food truck at the Terrible's on Fort Apache and Charleston. I decided to give them a shot and was pleasantly surprised. Let's talk about the positives. First off, the brisket was absolutely delicious. It was perfectly seasoned, tender, and just fell apart. I still find myself daydreaming about it. The owner was incredibly friendly and ordering from their menu was a breeze with no complications. As for improvements, I don't have any complaints but I do have a couple of suggestions. I hope they consider visiting the West Side more often and perhaps package their sides separately to avoid them getting warm from the heat of the meats. Overall, Lucky Cat is a fantastic addition to Vegas and I can't wait to indulge in that brisket again.

I had the pleasure of visiting this unique food truck owned by Shawn, who was not only friendly but also very knowledgeable about barbecue in Texas and South Carolina. Growing up in the Carolinas and living in Texas for a while, I consider myself a barbecue enthusiast. The food truck is located in the parking lot of a Maaco Paint and Body Shop, next to Wells Fargo Bank. This Texas BBQ spot with an Asian twist offers a variety of hearty meats, sides, and desserts. I opted for the 2 Meat Special with upgrades, including the Lucky Cat Prime Brisket and a Dinosaur Beef Short Rib. The sides of Gooey Mac & Cheese and Asian Slaw were delicious, served on a bed of Jasmine Rice with Furikake. The owner also generously gave me a sample of the Garlic Chili Pulled Pork. For dessert, I indulged in the Caramel Banana Pudding with Choco Graham Cracker Crumble and Nilla Wafers. The leftovers were plentiful, perfect for sharing. The selection of BBQ sauces, including Meow Sauce, Meow's Revenge, Meowspresso, Sweet Heat, and a Secret Menu option, added an extra layer of flavor to the meal. The fluffy rice, sweet slaw, and flavorful meats made for a satisfying dining experience. While the Mac & Cheese was not my favorite, the 4 Meat Chili was hearty but lacked beans. The unique Banana Pudding was a delightful twist on the classic dessert. I look forward to trying the Ube Whipped Cheesecake and Texas Twinkies on my next visit. Overall, I highly recommend this food truck, especially the standout Dinosaur Beef Short Rib. Don't miss out on the delicious specials they offer!
